That Require the GRE

For many applicants, the GRE can be a significant consideration when evaluating MFT program options. Some schools require a GRE score and will not accept an application without it; most have no GRE requirement whatsoever. In between the two extremes is a wide gray area--some schools require the GRE only under certain circumstances (a GPA beneath a certain score or a non-psychology undergraduate degree, for example), while some programs will consider GRE scores submitted to bolster an application if an applicant so desires.
